Some original content time! My riding buddy Evan Bing brought his little digi cam one day last week and we snapped some pics. We got like 5 or 6 sweet pics until his battery died. Enjoy!!! (click on the pics to zoom in!)

Evan with a double peg on the weird wall. He looks huge for some reason!

Bob B. with the bowl transfer
Evan almost pulling a 180 barpsin on a bank, he just did one of his first ones like the day before.

DeKalb Spot Check #3

This is very few spots I found in downtown DeKalb. There may be few, but they have lots of potential.
This is a big ol' gap. Hop over the curb, over the fence and into an ice skating rink. The drop is about seven feet.
This is a bad picture, you ride on the air conditioning unit, and hop into the bank. This would be a pretty sweet clip.

This is at the library and you can totally transfer from one tranny to the other, and probably do a trick out of the next one.
There is also some other rails, and smaller stuff, but these are the more unique spots I found.

DeKalb Spot Check #2:

This spot check is centered on the Visual Arts building.
All these images are around the perimeter of this one building and you could spend all day riding here.

These wedges are really fun to ride. They are made out of metal and make noise, that should be no problem on a weekend when no one is around. Dont let these things fool you though, they are pretty tall, probably neck high. There is a couple transfer possibilities, on the right one, its a hip type deal, but it will take a man to do it.

Here is a close up of the wedges. I really wanna see Paul D. fakie bar from one to the other, callin it out for him.
This thing is on the complete other side of the building, its also metal. This thing is much shorter but its an interesting sculputre and a couple things are possible.

This rail is good to get your bunnyhops all dialed in. On the first stair it shorter than a stem. On the other side its just below the crossbar so there is a lot of bunnyhop possibilities. Someone could definitely barspin it. Unfortunately it does not slide too well but I dont do that trickery so its all cool with me. Maybe Pat could throw down a Luc-e, with some plegs?

Stay tuned for other spots: downtown DeKalb, rest of the campus, and random DeKalb street!

To lure people into visiting me I will post up some spots that I think are pretty sweet. First up is the skate park. This park reminds me a lot of Burnham, mainly because some of the transitions are a bit weird. It is easier to get used to this park though, and you don't have to check every transition before you roll in on it. This park has a little bit of everything for everyone, some ledges to mess around on, some pools, banks, rails, a weird vert wall, and tiny hips. What this park is missing is some decent boostable quarters. But all in all its fun to mess around on and flow some obstacles.

Some small ledges and rails

A tight little "pool" and a "nipple"

A bowl, and 2 "nipples"

Quarter to weird, but very fun wall

A little pyramid, rail, and a tiny hip

More ledges to get your grind on

So I went to the local park today (more on that later) to shred and met a kid there. He was stoked to ride his NEXT there that had removable pegs. He was so stoked that he insisted I do a grind on them. After comparing axles and making sure everything will fit, he put on the pegs on my front axle and made me do a grind. Let me remind you that these are screw on pegs with knurling on the outside. Not sketchy at the least. So I do the grind and went to take the pegs off, but the kid does it for me, not letting me take them off as if I did not know how to do it.

Later on he told me he did not go to school, since he hated it. His mom let him pick a book to read and that was his assignment for the day. When asked what he was going to do in the future his reply was "I'm gonna work at McDonald's and eat their food."
As he was leaving he let me have his lock because it weighed down his bike. Now I just need a padlock for it. Stoked!!!???
